One of the areas that I can see improving in online newspapers would have to be the ability to constantly give breaking news. On the Chicago Tribune's website right next to their main article is a list of their breaking news along with the times in which they were last updated. This feature allows viewers to see how up to date their newspaper really is, allowing viewers to see exactly when the article is updated. This creates a step up from the Chicago tribune's print.
Another aspect of the Chicago Tribune's website is it allows the newspaper to have more content on their "front page". To be honest I found their page a little overwhelming and could use some simplicity, however it allows the viewer to see the top stories in each section instead of having to find it on the front page of that section's front page (in print newspapers).
It also offers more than just what is considered news. Such as photo galleries of chicago's nightlife, no article's just pictures. Which I thought was rather interesting because it related to what Yuri Victor was discussing about wanting to appeal to a younger audience. I think this is a great example of that. This is the redirected site that the Chicago Tribune takes you to.
